Go, on ebay and buy some cheap springs....
If you cut your springs or heat them, you'll be really sorry...

jajajjajajaja, WOW, talking about hitting somebodies sensitive fiber on this. Still four years now and still no bounce, guess I save a lot of money not buying cheap or expensive springs just to show off. OLD School Rocks, young boys this days go for the brand and not the functionality... OH, and yes, still my choice to shit on shit crappy things shitty people say.... Good luck with your conscience.... OH My Good >PD> I also save a lot of money by staying with Geico.

^so your saying that cut springs function better then aftermarket springs? just answer that for me..

and you took shots at me when you said "just because you did a crappy job on your car when you were 14yrs..." I was the only one that mentioned anything with 14 in it.
So that means your talking to ME.

Noticed i also mentioned "the track" so showing off?? IDK.
And by the way were just having a grown up conversation here. Im no "young boy" and i know what the hell im doing. Unlike some other people

Hey, peace and love man, don't take it personally. Just let other people express there self and be open to other people ideas... I have like 15 friends that for years have cut there springs with no problems what so ever. Yea, at the end they go for coilovers not springs... Someday I'll buy a coilover kit but for now I'll stay with my cut springs.... And to clarified my position in this matter, if you have the money and don't know how to do a clean cut, go for the real thing... Sorry man, if I took shots at you, THE END...

Default The Secret Is In The Measuring.

I have been doing spring modifcations for years for myself and for other people...............details at my shop forum.
And for the record, I also do a quality aftermarket spring nstallation for people who buy them, so I know both sides.

I do some precise measuring before I do anything with stock springs.
I seem to be the only one on TR who can do the measuring right, and most people who are negative on cut springs probably should have brought their car to me before they messed it up.
-----------------------------
My car for years sits 3" lower on cut springs without blown shocks, without beaten up suspension and without eaten tires........I have photographic proof and........The car has been seen by hundreds of people at the meets I go to.
------------------------------
It is not the "cutting" of a spring that will mess up a car. What messes up a car is a spring that is TOO SHORT......and a person can spend $300 for a spring that is too short and have the same problems as if they messed it up by themselves.

I don't do heating of springs to lower a car, as I have never seen it done
well, and don't know anyone who does it well.
-------------------------------------------------
If you want to talk suspensions sometime, catch me at the meets I go to
or if you want to do a demo ride with me, you can see that what I say is true.-Bob

Ohhh...
For the record, every shock is a coilover shock if the coil is over/around the shock.........adjustable coilovers allow you to change ride height
for looks or your personal driving style.
