for about 2-3 weeks now i believe. i was supposed to go out last week but never made it.

 

so theyre not doing it in the wiliston anymore? fuck it im tired of those lame shows anyways lol

 

no that one is still there too. once i check this one out tomorrow night i may post it too the site. but omg yes do i feel ya on that. thursday nights are REALLY starting to suck. that's why me and my peeps quit going out there.

this info is for the road course:

if you want to rent the road course for an "untimed" event you can rent the track and use the insurance policy that comes with the track.

if you want to rent the road course for a "timed" event then you can rent the track and will need to provide your own insurance policy which usually has coverage of $1 Million and you will also need to abide by the track policies for cars to pass safety tech. i.e. convertibles must have roll bars.

any time the track is rented EMT personnel must be present before any car is allowed onto the course, even for a safety check before cars are released from grid. and i am not sure if that is included in the rental price or if that is a seperate fee.

the track manager is a good guy but he is "very" strict on the rules of the track and how it is ran. the reason is because the track is owned (leased or whatever) by the NHRA and in order to keep the events that they have being held there they must abide by the rules. he also used to road race Porsche's, he is very knowledgeable about the course they have there and is not to bad of a teacher.

 

Keep in mind, people may be from somewhere or live somewhere, but their license doesn't match that. I've been in Gainesville for almost a year, but my license still has my south Florida address.

Thanx chi town brat for the info! i actually didn't know that. i do personally know the manager of the track, so whenever i get some down time i'll talk with him about it. but based on what you said it'll be an untimed road course style event.

sxysweed i get what your saying but remember that thats illegal lol. when you move you have to change your address on your license. GPD fucked over a buddy of mine because of that and they snatched his license.

and i'm wanting to do 10 from each to try and keep it fair and to see how many from Tampa or Gainesville are in the top 3. which will be what the prizes are awarded for. if this works out i'd like to do it maybe once a year.

and Nate we're actually not going to that meet anymore. it sucked ballz, and we got kicked out after being there for only 45 mins by security. there were only 6 cars there (3 from GRC).
