Don't usually post here anymore but I figure I'll stop by and save you a balljoint and a headache.
If you're talking about simply removing the knuckle from the lower arm, run to the local Pep Boys/Discount/Advance and get a Pitman Arm puller. Runs about 6bucks. Slide it over the balljoint stud, make sure the nut is still on so it doesn't mushroom, and then torque down the Pitman puller. The thing will pop off easily and not damage a damned thing.
Now if you're talking about removing the hub from the knuckle, don't misinterprit the above and think you can seperate 'em with a pickle-fork. You'll need a press to seperate the hub and usually a new wheel bearing.
