Default no vtec

Ok...Im having a similar problem like "spoonfedbaby" When I accelerate...around 5 grand...car just bogs down and feels like it is going to stall...I dont keep on it...I just let off the gas and switch gears..so I dont know if it will actually stall or not...but anyway....this motor has been in my car for like 4 or 5 months now and before now..it hasnt done this..except for one time....at like 5...it felt like my rev limiter kicked in early...but now that I think of it....it was probably doing the same thing it is doing now...its a b16/gsr head and Im using p72 ecu.....could it be the vtec silenoid???

Ok guys...thanks for the replies..but...I bought a new fuel filter and checked oil...still doing it...acceleration is terrible...and now its more like 4 grand when everything just bogs down and feels like the engine is going to cut off...My friend mentioned distibutor...you think this might be the problem??? I hope to find someone to let me borrow one first ..before I buy...

I'm kinda having a similar problem. When I accelerate the car starts jerking and bogging as if fuel isn't getting throug. My check engine light came on and I had it checked and they said the code that it through out was map sensor going bad. Because you map sensor is what controls your fuel maping and tells the ecu how rich or lean to run the fuel as well as air fuel ratio. I still need to get my map sensor replaced. So yeah, check that out. I'm pretty sure it's the map sensor. Let me know how every thing comes out.
