Default b16 intermittant bog issues

My 90 CRX has a nice little b16/pr3 combo in it with ajustable cam gears (ect). My issue is an intermittant one: sometimes at a cruising speed when given more throttle the car will severely bog. This is not a hesitation, it is a flat out bog. Other times, it will be just fine and merrily accelerate as my right food commands. Additionally, I was driving to work and midway through my commute of 23 miles, the check engine light comes on. After a year of owning this car with the swap it has not done this and after 2 days it has not done it since.

The car has sat for the past 9 months without being driven, but has been flawless for the past week with the exception of these issues. With as rough as it has been running, could it be cap/rotor, cam/ignition timing, distrubitor or even plugs? Or maybe further into the wiring conversion of the car after all that time? Any help is greatly appreciated, I am scratching my head on this one.

Bah, if I can't figure this shit out it is going to SS for a tune/diagnosis.

Update: it is now doing it constantly. The A/F guage reads full rich during normal cruise and rarely deviates. I thought it might have been the fuel injector cleaner I put in that made it run like ass, but that is gone and wouldn't explain this crap.

mine was similar in my 89crx b16 combo, at cruising speeds i would get a bump from either fule or ignition but if i accelereated thru it it was fine, do you have a chipped ecu or a stock one. also i put fuel injector cleaner in my lexus and it burned out my o2 sensor....damn that crap

ECU was flashing a code 2, which is a disconnected or malfunctioning #2 O2 sensor. I checked the wires and they had come apart. Problem solved for now. Just waiting on Taylor to come over and tell me how to reset the ECU and clear the code so it will run normally again. It already sounds and idles better. Thank god.

I think all you have to do is pull a fuse under the hood for a minute or so and the ecu will reset. Dont remember what fuse though...

It runs fine now, just need to do plugs on it. Too lazy and too hot outside to consider it just yet.

Update II: Fark, it still keeps doing it now and again on extended cruises. Should I look into new o2 sensors? I've run fuel injector cleaner and after conferring with a few buddies, they state that they have had fuel injector cleaner ruin their o2 sensors. All of the wires are now secure and connected so it is either replace the sensors or run new wires to wherever they go (or both ). Daggone 13 year old cars.

Oh, and my ecu is stock to my knowledge. I haven't torn it apart to check for sure. I do have a VAFC though and an Autometer rich/lean doohicky.
