very true, B17 crank and rods in a B16 now thats a nice set up. my buddy was actually at about the limit for compression, we were just worried about rod stretch. and it was in a 2000 civic coupe which makes it even more sick, no one ever expected it, his stock fuel pump couldnt even support vtec, it would go completely lean, when it was on the data-logger

 

Never clamed to know everything just what ive touched. I can see that the 1.8 rods are longer than my 1.7 rods. I was wondering if they will work and what comp. might i be running. B17 Block b17 Crank, Itr Rods, .25 over CTR pistons. OR>>> should i just shotpeen my B17 Rods.. You guys know your shit, Im getting there just not a rich lazy punk, so i do it myself.. and my girls ka24de is running like a champ, if you know what im speaking of and i built that.. anyways thanks for the help.. and your right..i shouldnt be building motors....but i am.. so fuck it..

 

wasnt tryin to be mean bro, i would rather see a dude learn from building it himself than to just drop it off at a shop and expect it to work fine...those type of people dont know what the hell is wrong with thier car when something goes wrong. you sound like you are on the right track, and this forum is for information and advice, and at times some costly humor........thats all

 

Its cool, i wasnt offended at all, Just kinda teasing myself. I love working on motors and building them. Mine will be the third one ive done and the other two are running great. I built an LS for a friend, Basically just stock with ITR pistons, put it in a 95dx coupe swaped it from auto to man. So i have some ex. under my belt.. I was just teasing myself. The second was Crystal240sx motor. So hopefully mine will be the fastest of the 3..heheheheh anyways thanks

Whats up man, I am planning almost the same setup with a b18c1 block. Let me know how it turns out. You may want to try and just stroke out the block to a 1.8 with custom pistons and rods. Just some advice.

 

Boring the Block to fit the .25 oversized pistons would bring it almost to a 1.8, To stroke it wouldnt i need a new crank and rods, also I refuse to use any aftermarket parts, Dont ask why just keeping it all HONDA. So if i can do it with HONDA parts let me know. Thanks.
