Motor Expectations

I'm wondering about how much HP i can expect. Here's the combo. ITR Head complete, ITR itake manifold and TB, B17 Block/Crank, ITR Rods, .25 over CTR pistons, ITR Clutch/PressurePlate, Clutch Masters 8.5lbs Flywheel, Dc 4-1 Header. I have all the parts motor is not together yet cause i want to rebuild the bottom end with new rod and main bearings. I'm hoping to see nice number KEEP in mind that its gonna be bored out to almost a 1.8 should make a little diff. IF anyone is really good I'm putting this in a 89 CRX SI Neuspeed race springs, Energy suspension bushings FULL KIT, Tokico struts, STEELIES:D Maybe you have a guess at a TIME I hope 13's is not unreasonable, AND IM DOING IT ALL MYSELF.... CAUSE IM SUCH A BAD ASS............................YA WHATEVER.....

180?? depends on head to block clearance and compression 2

ITR rods in B17 block?????????

TEP-ITR-REX 07-03-2003 07:33 PM

Well I hope you mean Wheel HP cause the car comes stock with 160hp, I would find it heard to believe that Itr Flow, Cams, and Raising the Comp. From a stock 9.7 To around 11.4 Not to mention a good clutch and Light Flywheel getting power to the ground, would only be 20. Anyways thanks for the INFO..

TEP-ITR-REX 07-03-2003 07:37 PM

YES... I also kept my b17 Rods because looking at them it looks like the ITR rods may be to long.. If you know let me Know so we can both know.. anyways..peace

i dont believe that stock 160 is to the wheels tho....

NChatch 07-04-2003 08:11 AM

i always talk in wheel horsepower, cause you cant race a car on a flywheel, so yes 180 sounds correct, a B16 with I/H/E and nothing much more only lays down around 140, so 40 solid N/A horsepower should be a compliment.

Ok cool that sounds good, I wanted 200whp but i didnt think i would get it with that combo but im hoping it will hold a 50shot just to get-er-done at the track, with some retarded timing and some xtra fuel. I have a set of 450cc inj. for her but im thinking thats alot.. maybe to much.. but need vafc to control them.. thanks..

NChatch 07-04-2003 04:59 PM

i really would even go that high on the injectors, causei think a VAFC will only pull back 50%, you should use some 310.

a good friend of mine at honda, built a 2.0 CRVtec, with endyne rollerwave pistons 12.4:1 comp. skunk2 stage 2's, VAFC, JDM header, Type R head, with all the flow work done, type R intake, and TB.

and he made 193HP on 100 octane

Wow that sound like a sick motor, He's probably got like 12HP more than me just on Comp. alone. Then more aggresive cams. So he was using Stage 2 on stock itr valve train?? ALSO IF ANYONE HAS SOME 310cc Injectors, I have some 450cc to trade for. Mine are like brand new if there not actually brand new... so i was some in same cond.
