Still won't rev past 5k
Well I thought the problem was my automatic ecu but I borowed a 5sp ecu from cronic and it does the same thing has anyone heard of this happening or does anyone have suggestions on what I could try?

yeah but now that I think back I don't remember having a 5k rev limit while the car was in park and I had this problem on a swap before and ended up needing a different distributer...I may need to do the same thing here because I had to change the plug on it to make it work with my harness so its probably not talking with the computer correctly...I will try the park/drive thing first though.

i would put my money on either a bad plug, wire, or distributor because mine did the same thing when i had one of my magnecores break...just my .02

I don't think the ecu is compatable with the distrubuter because I put the switch into drive and it still won't rev past 5k also when I put the five speed ecu in I had the same problem soooo I either need an adapter harness that allows me to run an obd2a ecu (which I have) or an obd2b distubuter...
