i have not been able to find any swap info about handas D17
not even engine specs on a dyno
nothing really, just a bunch of questions

anyone know anything much about D17 or good resources for info

 

i have heard only bad things

 

i woulda thought they woulda been stronger and have at least a little more torque then the older d series

 

can i throw an old si head on the d17 bottom

 

simply put..the D17 is useless unless you are puutting it in a 2001+ civic. you can't swap heads, the mounts are stupidly located, can't use the whole motor in anything besides 01+ because you can't mount a distributor. etc. one word...USELESS

 

I have heard nothing good about them..My friend has one now
with a rod knock...

 

i would agree with everyone on this one, it makes the same power as an EX but is 1 tenth of a liter more displacement, hmmmmm something isnt right here. stick with a d16
