i have a jdm b16a a with a j1 tranny but i guess the differential is broke and i need a tranny real fast because i have no other car and i cant find that tranny anywhere so i was wondering if any cable tranny like the s1, ys1, y1 would bolt directly to it without haveing to change axels or intermediate shaft by the way its in 89crx hf if you could give me any info it would be helpful thanks

 

you can use any b series cable tranny. Oh and if your just installing the motor into the HF your going to have to change the hubs.use the civic DX or do a complete brake upgrade and get the integra front brakes. Integra axles will not fit.

 

The Y1, YS1 and S1 are all interchangable with your motor. The only thing I can think you may have a problem is with the Y1...or S1...I cant remember is the big spline and the others are small.

 

THe y1 tranny is different stay Away Unless you can change out your hubs to 88-89 integra hubs

 

Ya you can use and Cable b-series tranny...all of them will work...

 

can i use my stage 3 clutch from my j1 tranny into say a ys1. I already have a set up in my crx hf when i put axels in they just used a b16 inner joint and machines it for a crx hf outer joint.what i really want to know is if that i can match u p any of those tranny to my b16 in my crx with out having to change anything at all like axels or trans axel. thanx
