i just put a jdm b16 1st gen in a 92 hatch...im running a p28 but it inst chipped yet but for some reason its only revving to about 4k each gear then it hits what seems like a rev limiter....can anyone tell mewj\hat could cause this problem,im also throwing a #4 code which is the crank position sensor,i heard it could also be the map sensor please help

 

who chipped it ??? i did my first one and it did the same shit, do you havea check engine light on? it could also be in the distributor,

check engine code
code 4 is crankshaft position senser which is in the dizzy
make sure all wiring is correct,also try a good known dizzy

 

will a 99 si crankshaft position sensor work for obd1 dist...also how hard are they to change???

 

as far as i know, i dont think you can, i think it is pressed in i have only seen one dude rebuild a honda dizzy, and it was a painin the ass. do you have another ecu to try?

 

no..i dont have another ecu to try,"99b16si"has the 99 crank position for sale but from what your saying it might not work...i dont know what the hell to do....i'll figure something out though...but anymore suggestions would be greatly appreciated
