but the code 4 is in the dist. i dont know....fuk it,im gonna try and get a dist...

i just put a d16zc motor in my girls 91 crx finally got the wiring conversation an hooked it up.

when i hit like 6 grand it acts like the clutch just let go or it hit some type of limiter almost same thing im trying to figure out what the hell it is

you get any more info on this let me know

The Crank Position Sensor is used to adjust timing as the engine's load changes...The different MAPs are stored in the ECU and uses the Crank Position Sensor, plus a few other sensors to select the correct map for the present situation...

A Crank Sensor will hold your Rev Limit down as a safeguard from running too much timing as your RPM rises...

Get any b-series vtec distributor that works and see if that clears up your problem...I believe the #4 code and the REV limitations are directly related...

An obd2 B-series Vtec distributor will require you to change the plug to the pair of obd1 plugs...

i have this exact same problem

i have a d16z6 ina crx i did the obd1 conversion and was still running the si intake mani.

when i changed to the d16z6 mani to day i have this exact same problem as well as it idles like shit there where no changes to the distributor execpt for a new cap and rotor.

Any ideas???
