Fast Idle Thermo Valve, it can be fixed without having to buy a new sensor.

mines the opposite. It idles fine when cold. but if i drive it (cold) , the second I take my foot off the gas she stalls... when warm its perfect though, idle and driving.

lol, i think i have you all beat, on a 91 dx , d16 a6 motor, starts fine cold, new plugs, new plug wires, new fuel filter....when im driving if i even take my foot off of the gas pedal it stalls, the idle is fine on it, and when i drive it jerks if i mash the pedal past a certain point, been like that for about 4 months, i have no idea what it is doing, thats why im just doin a swap

what else might this be called ? I dont think thats my problem though.. you just have to see my car to believe it. I might tear it apart this weekend... she runs rich as hell to.. I hate that. And ever since I put the valves back to OEM stettings it seems to have lost power . they were open as hell and I closed em up to factory specs.

i think it's also called the IAC valve...Idle Air Control. It should be on your throttle body...a big plug looking thing....which I guess all sensors look like
