Now..from what ive been told...you can actually take out the 2nd butterfly in the intake manifold...but im not thinking that you have the manifold or the motor for that matter...you just ran across an ecu and you want to use it?

yeah I don't see any reason it can't be used on a y8 motor as long as the knock sensor is present on the y8 motor.
