im guessing that you are saying that the CRV tranny is weaker than a GSR tranny and that using a GSR tranny will be just fine?

because if i spray and have to hear the worthless rear wheels kick in one more time im going to shoot myself in the face... its not true AWD, its "real time AWD" which means the CRV is FWD until the front wheels start to lose traction, thats when the rear wheels kick in... not a bad concept if the vehicle is to remain stock... the rear diff is not strong and it is going to break sooner or later... im building a turbo motor so im disconnecting the AWD bullshit before it breaks...

You said the rear wheel drive only kicks in when the front loses traction. What senses this inside the tranny? Is it mechanical or electrical?
It would be pretty kick ass if you could convert the car to full time awd. DSM's do it and the tranny layout is similar to a crv I believe.

i havent really looked into it, but my guess is that its vacuum... yeah, i thought about keeping it, but im going to be putting down about 275 - 300hp to the wheels and there is no telling how much modification would be needed in order to make the diff strong enough... with those kind of hp numbers, i bet as soon as i try a 5,000 rpm launch, the rear diff will just shread...
