is it normal for the intake cam up arrow to be slightly pointing up but towards the exhaust cam? meaning the exhuast cam is directly pointing up but the intake is point inward....do i straighten up and tighten the caps or just leave it and tighten the caps and put on the belt? thanks

 

just use the witness marks on your cam gears, you cant go wrong. also on an LS look near the cam gear, ther should be a hole on each cam and a hole above that, that is part of the head, stick a allen key(there is a tool for it) in there to hold them steady to put on the belt. if those holes are lined up you should be golden
