i see it this way, superchargers give you power on demand, which is great from a roll, or even off the line if you have adequate traction...but alot of people cant launch a fwd and not lose traction...and thats naturally aspirated, imagine having a lot more torque to deal with off the line with the supercharger...now over to turbo, your going to get lag NO MATTER WHAT, but it isnt the worst thing in the world, you should see full boost at 4k at the latest, depeneding on your turbo setup, now when you launch, your going to be launching from like 3000rpm or around that, so within maybe 2 or 3 tenths of a second you will be in boost and on your merry way.
also a turbo can give you continuous pull through the rpm band and very well top end, i dont know how well a supercharger does on top end so i cant compare them on the top end.

My Acura and all other hondas lack in torque so much it's unbearible and even a supercharger alone wont make it totally unnoticeable thats why I thought a super might be my choice but the only thing holding me back is the fact that I know when that turbo kicks in all hell will break lose thats why I wont settle totally on the super.

yea, most turbo setups run on stock internals or were designed for them, so you will still have the original power and everything will feel the same for the lower rpm's but as the turbo spools you'll feel it. i know the smaller turbo's they have in kits will spool quite quickly, i know mitsu's are different, i have a decent sized turbo, and 7.8 compression..so i wont hit full boost till about 3k...now for the honda's last i recall i THINK a teg was like 9.8:1 (dont quote me) but smaller displacement. IMO its all upon preference, you would be doing yourself a favor to actually get into an in depth convo with someone who is turboed, and someone who is using the JRSC and see what problems and other things they might have ran into.

also, contrary to popular belief, a turbo is not always in boost, its only during hard acceleration that it will give you power. as for superchargers they are all belt driven as far as i know..so power is right there all the time.

edit: forgot you have an rsx, you have plenty of torque as it is and a decent roll off the line, there was a type s i raced who stayed decently close with me. he was supposedly stock.

let me explain, do u post on CLubrsx.com, anyways theres a guy w\ new motor mounts so he can launch @ higher RMP w\ less wheel hop. Falkin Azines(sp?) better traction ovbiouly, CAI and Hondata #4 (tq, HP) and he is running somthing like a 13.9...not bad that is all his mods.nothing more nothing less..u can slap on Header, and full catback and be pretty reliable setup w\ respectable times... and probly less money..

wheel hop is caused by tires/suspension, falken azenis are street tires, and you can launch at redline if you wanted, just let the clutch out slow. as for the hondata..couldnt he use an air/fuel controller to manage it for a lot lower price?

the hondata flash upgrade with a cai and header will prob give your type s plenty of go to start with. it adjusts the fuel curve, the ignition amp, the vetc point and the cam timing all at once.
upgrade to a blower later, i would recommend jrsc for a meduim power upgrade. not going to get th epower of turbo, but you will still get the speed. the eaton units tend to act more like all motor power than turbos do. you WILL feel the difference.
