RSX-S Vibration Question - High RPM
I have a 2002 RSX-S with a strange nagging issue. Whenever I hit 6000 rpm and the VTEC kicks in I hear a vibration/resonating almost metallic sound coming from my passenger side and/or glove box area. I thought at first it was from my lock on the glove box since it is loose, figuring the high RPM vibration was making it rattle but that wasn't it. It is like a buzzing noise, like if you have an empty soda can in the cup holder and the RPM makes it rattle/vibrate.
I have no other issues, no body damage, no aftermarket parts (stock), and no other vibrations (wheel balancing, ect). Turning the wheels make no difference and it only happens in the high VTEC rpm zone (6k and up).
New clutch was just installed (1,100 miles ago) and mechanics said everything looked great. Issue was there prior to new clutch install.
