ummmm, I think the idea was to hav a machine shop polish and balance the rods, not you with a fucking die grinder or some other shit.

i was thinking in my head before its prob going to be a good idea to go get those things balanced now

on that note...

here is a question.

i got my pistons teflon coated, should i get them balanced or what?

i only did the tops. to prevent heat and detonation

just worrried about the added material

Well, some of us don't have to go and have the machine shop do every thing for us. At least those of us that have the tools, resources, and ability to do things for our selves don't.

personaly i think it is a waste of time but the theory is sound. If you just shotpeened them you'd be better off. I've also always shaved the piston instead of the rod when installing itr or ctr pistons and I've never had any problems. If any stress risers were going to be introduced it'd be where the rod was shaved.

come on guys tell me more snappy one liners about poloshing your rods. the post was intended to get some technical feed back on what ive done.if you feel ive wasted my time thats fine. if you like what ive done thats good to.but the responses ive gotten have resembiled something like comedy hour.next time ill have to post more technical stuff on honda-tech.com and post on this stie when i need help installing some neon or a type r stickers.
