Nevermind! Can someone tell me a good place to buy a B16A Full Swap at? And who all in the Clearwater/Largo area will do the engine swap for a decent price? And when I do an engine Swap.. can someone tell me what all I need before I have someone install it? If I buy a Full Swap B16A, all I have to then get is like the mounts? Or what... im n00b!

The search function pwn3d you.

To be brief: John & Taylor @ Secret Services do spankable work but are super stacked up. Fret not, you'll change your mind 10 ways to Sunday in the mean time and it will give you time to save up for the swap. You'll need quite a few items to complete the swap and do it correctly (ie once).

The following is a reccomended parts list. This helps your installer in not wanting to kill you due to incomplete or rigged parts.
ITR throttle cable
HASport mount kit
PR3 ECU (and pre done harness if you really like the people installing motor)
Complete new hose set
New H2O pump and thermostat & gasket
Axles (the ones you get will not work, throw them at something)

The "while you have the motor out" list:
New clutch, pressure plate and t/o bearing
Timing belt
plugs, wires, cap and rotor

Any number of competent installer can put this motor in, have it wired up and send you on your way in 1-2 days. There are alot of folks out there that do great work, but since I have only dealt with SS, that is the only shop I can give my honest nod to.

Other great folks I have not yet tried:
LHT performance
countless garage installers

It's still early in the morning, give this thread time to sit a bit.

And also, I have the stock DX Automatic Transmission in my car. If I buy a B16A from hmotorsonline.com, do I need to get a new transmission or no?

you should be able to get the tranny included with the price you pay for the package also, with the auto trans, you kinda messed up there but it shouldnt be that hard to do a auto to manual....
also here is a place right here in tampa that sounds pretty good, i don't have any experience with them but they sure look like they know what they're doing...

Hey whats up man, what i meant was like a conversion, automatic transmission to the manual transmission, like installing the cluth and adding all that other good stuff to the car. Sorry i got you confused there, there wasnt any "auto manual" , i hope it helps.

Hey its alright to be confused, youre only learning right? You have to change the tranny as well, a sohc tranny won't bolt onto the dohc engine, and in my opinon, i would get a b18 ls motor with the b16 tranny, my boy nick said you can hit some good times with that, but thats only word of mouth.

later

So, when I buy the engine, should I buy a new transmission at the same time? and if so, which transmission should I get compatible with the b16a?
