need help with gauge cluster rpm problem

Default need help with gauge cluster rpm problem

is my second cluster i put in it n it does the same thing.. i have a itr motor on my 95 civic n the rpm never reads right n now it only max out at 7 ..advise if you ever ran across this prblem n what you think about a digital rpm reader???? thank you

If you already have a aftermarket fuel pump, which you should, problem is most likely the ignitor in dizzy.

fuel pump walbro ..n the dizzy is new ..it was find at first ..is find if you cruise but ones you hit it n it passed 7 it dossent read right

As mentioned, the problem is most likely in the distributor, specifically the RPM output from the ICM, [ignition control module or igniter] it is the blue lead at the distributor assembly.

The first thing I would check is the connection of the blue lead to the ICMs RPM output terminal.
This is the ICM...

There are only three components to your Tach.
1. Ignitor
2. Wire
3. Gauge Cluster (which has already been changed)

I have a box of aftermarket dizzy's all bought brand new from Ebay...everyone has a problem, just outside the warranty. "Ye olde box of Honda dizzy's"

oh n i dont know if it makes a diff ...but the cluster i put is a jdm cluster but the mph been converted
