D16 Piston 1&3 not buliding compression PLZ HELP !!!
So here we go again SMDH so i just traded my motor and got a D16 in return well after installing it and everything i cranked it and tried running it and noticed it was acting up so after a bit of problem solving i discovered the 1 & 3 piston isnt buliding compression. So i was planning on getting a new bottom end but then i thought to myself wait idk if this problem can cause damage to my HEAD (whatchu think) and need your help TR i dont have money for a new motor and need some suggestions what do ya think fellas ?! PLZ help anything is appreciated !
Did you put a little oil down the cylinders to see if that helped with compression? I don't think your head would have been damaged from it running. I mean unless a valve drops and says hello to a piston or the crank decides to implode not much would really go wrong.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Do a leak down test and verify where it is leaking at rings, valves, hg.....
If it is the pistons and the motor has sat for a while try this. Rotate crank so pistons are about halfway up the bore. Remove sparkplugs for cyl 1 and 3 and fill up cylinders with ATF fluid and let soak for a day. This can sometimes free up stuck rings and I've had to do this before with some junkyard or imported engines that have sat for a long time. To get the atf out use a hand fluid pump and pump out as much as you can, some fluid may have bleed past the rings and is now in your oil pan. Pull the other two plugs out and cover the ATF'd cylinders with a rag and crank the engine over with the starter to fling out the remaining fluid, can be a bit messy. Drain the oil (leave the filter)and put cheap oil back in. Put the plugs back in and start it up. Let it run a bit and see if compression comes back up. If it does drain oil and change filter, put whatever normal oil you run in and your good to go.
I've used this before on engines that I thought needed to be rebuilt and it brought compression back up to normal and the motors ran fine.
