OK so i recently rebuilt my civic and the 5 speed hydro tranny wont go into first or 2nd. I replaced the clutch and preassure plate. And disconnected the shift linkage. I Can not get the car to go into first or 2nd. I have not started the car since the rebuild but still. Also i replaced all the dot 3 fluid and bleed the clutch and it feels really loose. Like its pretty easy to push it to the floor. Anyone?

Can you put it in 1st or second manually by moving the actual linkage while inder the hood?

The trans shift rod should rotate to the left for 1st & 2nd, neutral/3rd/4th will be in the middle, 5th & reverse will rotate to the right. Have someone inside move the shifter while you look underneath. With the car off the clutch has nothing to do with the trans shifting.
