So a couple wks ago I threw a code 9 (cyl 1) and replaced the dist. Car has been running fine until last night when it stalled on me while driving down US 19. And for anyone who knows US 19, that is not the best place to stall out on lol. Well now I'm trippin code 15 (ignition output signal). I can get the car to start but it bogs down and stalls after a few minutes of running. I've tried searching other forums, but I'm getting mixed results from the dist. and the ignition switch. Figured I'd ask on here, cuz you guys are usually riight on with the fix. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Oh and I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but it didn't do it until it started raining. Drove for a good 2 hrs yesterday and as soon as the rain started is when the car started acting up!

Ok so I removed the HAZARD fuse to reset the ECU and started the car and it sounded fine. Shut it off and started it again and it was idling rough. The CEL did not come back on tho. This is so frustrating. Thanks tho.

 

when is the last time you changed your plug wires?
Did you check connections as flow chart stated?

 

Wires are fairly new. Motor has just over 1k on it. Was gonna change them out tho with new NGK plugs and wires. And I don't have a voltage meter to check'em, but I checked all the connections and it's still idling rough and now it's got this strong smell to it, exhaust smell.
