With a starting budget of about a grand what is a good place to start with a 92 si?

 

Hey i have a 92 Si too. First things you should do is CAI, header and a full cat. exhaust. That's what i started with and my car is running a lot faster than stock. That or just do nothing to it, and start saving for an H22A which i'm in the process of doing.

 

or just swap over an h22 head on your h23. v-tec and greater displacement...

 

Humm a big wing, a loud dump, a visor in the rear view, i think you get the point If it was me i would say and get a swap.

 

i'd just go for a full h22a swap. who wants a 90,000 plus block w/ an h22a head on it? i played with that idea but i know my h23 has 130K on it. That's also why i wont bother dropping a turbo or some juice in it. So i suggest a full h22a swap. go to www.jdmclub.com they have some good prices on h22a's, its 2300 for the engine, ecu, shift linkage, and almost everything else you need to install it. if you don't do swaps yourself contact mr self destruct he's w/ secret services and i heard they do a great job.
