Depends on the ecu you are going to use. If you wire your car to obd1 to use the p28 ecu (right way) then you use the sohc vtec distributor.

if you use the pm6 ecu and an rpm switch for vtec then use the si distributor.

The EASIEST swap is a Y8 head (96-99) on an A6 block (90-91).
This requires no cutting or wiring and can result in a nice, quick CRX!
That's the set up I have on mine. So I used a stock CRX Si distrib, stock intake manifold and stock headers. As for the ecu I used a PG7 Integra 5 speed ecu for a more aggressive fuel map and higher rev limit.
Because the PG7 is designed for a DOHC, your motor will run rich, so I HIGHLY recommend getting the APEXi VAFC, not just some on/off switch for the VTEC.
If you wanna get nuts and go crazy you can rewire your harness for the P28, but then you have alot more to do as well as more $$$ to spend.
Right now I'm dynod at 125hp/ 111 lbs at the WHEELS (roughly 148-150hp at the crank) with 1/4 mile times of 14.9-15.2 depending on tires.
Not bad for a SOHC "stocker"
