Tranny problem ??????

Never did this but i guess its starting to happen more then usual

-while im driving SOMETIMES (meaning not all the time) i CANT shift into 2nd 4th or reverse ?? wtf ?? if i try to force it in i feel like im trying to shift into a brick wall , it usually goes in like butter all 5 gears and reverse.

- anybody know what this is ? im hoping its not the tranny !

-any suggestions are greatley appreciated , and you ppl know i rep ! so plz help me out

Check the rubber bushings at both ends of the shifter rod.
Remove the plate inside the car if needed.

Check the rubber bushings at the ends of the stabilizer rod that connects from near the
back end of the shifter rod to the transmission casing.

Let us know what you find.-Bob

negative on the bushings bob , but thanks . must be something internal . which im praying isn't .

dont know about transmissions but I can tell you trannys are not my style

might sounds dumb.but check your fluid. a friend of mine couldn't downshift into 2nd.. also my 4th and 5th started grinding because of low oil. and brother's car pop'd out of 5th because of low oil. check in just to be sure.

^been repped homie thanks , my car has oil but my tranny doesnt have a dipstick so how am i suppose to check that ?? my dad is a mechanic and he checked it out , he said that it has to be the shift forks if its only doing it sometimes . as of the moment im looking for a whole sohc swap or just a b series tranny !! so id appreciate if you guys know any one around with a reasonable price pm me !

With some trannys, there is a plug in the 3 oclock position or 9 oclock position.
Fill it with oil up to the bottom of the hole's threads. Look into the weight oil you are using. Some Honda's don't use 90 weight.
You might also put in Pennzoil Synchromesh......Which clearly is not 90 weight oil.

But if you are getting rid of the tranny, ignore what I just said.-Bob
