Default help car running like shit black smoke from muffler

i have a dc2 just did a ls vtec build b18a1 block b18c1 head and it seems to be the warmer the car gets the slower it gets there is also alot of black smoke from the muffler it goes away after it gets a foot from the tail pipe but it makes the back of my car hella dirty i am wondering why this is happening also how can i fix this. the car dosent overheat and runs better on the freeway after i get it to 80. there is no other color smoke so i dont think its a blown piston ring or anything like that and the car also looks like it has a tiny fuel leak from one of the injectors?

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Next step is to find coolant sensor that provides ECU with input (thermistor). If it is not working the ECU will tell the injectors to be open more as if the engine is always cold. Google how to check and location for your particular engine.

black smoke means its running too rich, which is why its slow too much fuel being dumped into the motor, do you know if your O2 sensor is working properly
