Default White smoke from muffler...Okay/Bad?

Me and my friend took a ride today and he was riding my Gixxer and I was riding his FZR. Well anyway when we approached a stop light I noticed a puff of white smoke coming out of the exhaust of my bike and was pretty concerned when he told me it might indicate oil getting burned off somewhere in the engine. Can anyone clarify this, I just got this bike and don't plan on doing any rebuilding soon. Please tell me it's just poor gas or water or something.

Thanks!

The coolant tank is a little above the lower line but I don't think it's ever been changed since the first owner had the bike. '02 GSXR 600. I guess I gonna have to roll up the sleeves and start swinging some wrenches.

Thanks for the help NCboost, sweet ride BTW

How long had the bike been running when the white smoke came out of the exhaust? It's probably just condensation. After all it was pretty humid yesterday. Could maybe some rain water get into your exhaust? I wouldnt worry about it. There is no way coolant can get into the exhaust on a Gixxer. Coolant could get into the oil, but not the exhaust.

+1 for condensation. look any morning when you start your bike up, it'll be blowing white smoke.
