Default EG gauge problems..Not sure where this sensor goes

I have a stock 95 coupe ex (if that matters) I'm having a problem with the temp gauge its not reading stays on cold and the fuel gauge only goes half way. Figured I would try and tackle the temp first considering its a little more important. Well I went to advance and got 2 sensors because I wasnt sure which one would fix the problem. I replaced the sensor thats closest to the top radiator hose outlet which had 2 wires Advance Auto Parts: Coolant Temperature Sensor by BWD/Intermotor - Part WT5009. Well low and behold that did not fix my problem still sits on cold. Now I have this other sensor with 1 wire Advance Auto Parts: Coolant Temperature Sensor by BWD - Part WT622Z that I have no idea where this could go. So please help with any ideas.

Thanks,
Aaron

that second coolant temp sensor goes on the left side of your cylinder head, unplug the 1 wire sensor and you will see it!

Could be gauge or float switch. Do these test.
The sending unit and float are a unit.

Part #20 = sending unit = $41

does the gauge move at all? when you fill it up it only goes to half full? and eventually to empty when say you use half a tank? after market gauges? take the guage cluster out. remove the clear plastic, fill it up and put the needle on full... probably needs to be recalibrated if the faces have been changed

^Uhm...Dont do that..If you suspect your gauge to be OUT OF CALIBRATION Do this
remove plug from sender
get a potentiometer(variable resitor) $5
Set it to 105-110 ohms=empty
Insert to C and b plugs per previous posted diagram
should read empty with key in position 2
Turn knob on Potentiometer to 25.5-39.5 ohms measured with meter
should read 1/2 full
Turn knob to 2-5 ohms should read full
Adjust needle as needed
make sure to turn ignition switch OFF everytime you move POT so you dont peg gauge, they are real sensitive.
If you dont want to buy the Potentiometer use the measurements on the above diagram to adjust float for proper readings and ohm output

They are stock gauges. To my knowledge they have never been tampered with, and the gauge moves but when I fill it up it only goes to the half marker..Ill see if I can test it to see if its the sending unit, those tests dont seem to be to complicated..
