Default intermediate shaft question..

have a DA intermediate shaft on my EG. i keep having issues with my axle, could it be because i have the DA axle in it now? should i replace the axle only? or by the intermediate shaft from a DC and new axle for it... replacing the axle regardless. thanks in advance!

SEEMS ...

I would be willing to bet this is your issue. I have had MANY cars come in with no movement on the wheels but after disassembly the barring was clearly destroyed and the issue was solved.

How many miles on chassis and has the barring ever been changed ?

Easy way to check is to get the car at a constant rate of speed and turn left and right while still cont to go straight ( just enough to get load off each corner) and see if noise goes away. Good luck and be sure to post the fix

EDIT: something else i just thought of. Your barring could be on its way going out in the half shaft. It is off an older model teg.

Replaced the axle and intermediate shaft with new DC parts. Problem still there. Have replaced everything but the wheel bearing. I'm sure that's what it is now. Having it replaced tomorrow. Know how much that should run me? Don't want to get ripped a new one, already put more money in it that I didn't need to... Ps. Anyone need a newish DA axle and intermediate shaft? Have one for sale 2 months old. The axle anyways lol

^buy the bearing and take your hub to a shop or somewhere that has a shop press, that way you can save money on labor.
