I have a 94 del sol SI. It's in great condition besides a dent on the drivers side front fender. Anyways the car is 100% stock and runs like a top the only problem is that its a AUTO. I was wondering what you guys would do in my situation, would you swap it to a manual or just trade it for a 5 speed car? I work 6-7 days a week so i would have to pay someone to do it because although I could do the work, I really don't have the ambition or time.

 

If you really like the car then why sell or trade a good running vehicle...if the 5 speed swap is what you want then swap it.

 

Do you know reputable shops or people that could do the work?

 

I have personally done the swap and it is a pain in the ass. It cost about $500 in parts IIRC. So probably another grand on top for an install.

 

hmm. Ok well ill place the car up for trade and offer 1500 in cash also. If i cant get anything decent then ill swap it.

That or if someone could lend me a hand I could take a weekend off, im sure we could get in done in two days. I could throw a couple hundred towards the person who helps.
