So i ended up going with a us spec b18c1 out of a 2000 gsr. Its in and it runs great so far, i only have one problem. The engine that was in my car before the b18c was a b18b. The throttle cable that worked for the b18b is way too long for the b18b, so i had to wrap the damn thing around the butterfly clip to make it work for now. What is the proper cable that i need? Ive heard its a stock civic one but i dont know for sure.
Also, why would my tach go crazy at 5500 rpms when vtec engages? It just jumps around like crazy, but anywhere before that it works just fine.
