Default 1998 Accord Transmission Slipping

I have a 1998 Honda Accord that's auto transmission is starting to slip at the 2-> 3 gear shift. It was barely noticeable at first and would go away after 2-3 minutes of driving. Now it almost always slips when shifting from 2nd gear to 3rd. This mainly occurs if the shift point is above 3300rpms. If I allow it shift below that point the slip does not occur.

The other problem currently being experience is that when going at slow speeds, like 10mph in a parking lot, it will take a good second to find a gear and get into it when I accelerate.

In looking online there seems to be a LOT of issues with this generation Accord's transmissions and premature failing. Honda won't touch the issue since it's not considered a "safety" issue.

The car has the 2.3L engine and has 119k miles. Has been serviced it's whole life at the local Honda dealership. I inherited this car from my grandparents as a nice daily driver since at the time my Integra was becoming less and less streetable.

Does anyone have any experience with this transmission problem since it's such a prevalent/known issue? Should I have Honda fix it or will I be facing the same problem shortly down the road. Any good local shops someone could recommend?

Thanks for the help!
