b16 or 18 ?
alright people ... I need some opinions....B18(gsr) or jdm 2nd gen b16?
the b16 is cheaper and the same hp as the usdm gsr engine...but i guess the b18 has alot more noticeable torque? does the b18 have stronger internals as far as turbo ing goes? its going into my 95 civic coupe btw
is it a pain in the ass to have a jdm engine or is getting parts for it not that bad? I cant make up my mind....and i dont want to spend so much more for the b18 if its really not that much better.

get a gs-r. you won't be kicking yourself in the ass later on down the raod like my buddy. its better for whatever but not boost. or just boost it and do some low comp internals. you will have more hp. either way you will have vtec. vtec makes ricers happy!

Gsr all the way you can go allmotor and put down good numbers or you go turbo and put down some serious number. But it all comes down to how much money you have and will spend.

exactly....i dont think im going to have 3000 plus....and im really really tired of waiting on doing a swap....but damn...it looks like everyone is for the gsr....Its that much better huh? Because of torque or what? I wish i could drive two coupes-one with b16 and one with the b18....then i could really make up my mind.
Do you want to buy a B16? I have one

A b18c1 motor only has 1 ft/lb more torque than a b18b. And they both have like 15-20 ft/lb more than a b16. b18b is better for boost as the compression is lower, but a b18c1 also works, but you either have to do lower compression internals, or just not run very much boost. plus with the vtec, you have the ability to make more hp and torque, but you'll have to run a bigger turbo with the vtec.

o shit...im an idiot....i was thinking the b16 had vtec...in that case...i see why everyone is saying go b18 ....well i guess ill be saving up for a loong time dammit?
