I looked at the oil today and there is a little bit of water in it, milky spots. I was told it probably is the head gasket but my question is, If the head gasket was bad wouldnt that make the car overheat? It will sit there at normal running temp for about 5 or 10 min before it shuts off. I've never had a car do anything like this so any help us greatly appreciated.

this happened to me 2 months ago, my car overheated after putting water into it, so i shut it off right away and checked my oil, i had very little milky spots and i knew then i blew a headgasket, make sure when u get ur headgasket changed get arp headstuds and make sure too shave the head just in case to see if u damaged the surface!

thats the thing that throws me off is my car doesnt over heat, it runs at normal temp for about 5 minutes or so then it just shuts off.

my lag is your courtesy head start

ATTENTION.... installing a head gasket, head studs or pistons and rods in your otherwise STOCK engine dose not make it a "built" engine! stop listing you cars for sale saying they are built when its not!!
