any ideas for setting rings
I just built the motor cylinders 1,2, and 3 are good at 230psi but 4 isn't set its at 150 and is burning oil pretty bad the head gasket is good no mixing of fluids or leaks and new valve seals. So any ideas on how to seat are appreciated. I'm running 10w 30 conventional oil and it's got about 200 miles on the motor I've been beating it pretty hard but no luck

regardless what most people will tell, rings are set within the first 30 seconds of starting the car... also, with that big of a difference in compression, I'd be willing to bet there's a bigger problem than just the rings not seating properly

if you had the valve seats recut then you might just need to let out the and adjust the valves for that cyl they maybe to close"tight" and opening to soon it may not be oil your burning it maybe unburned gas

could be a few things honestly... was this a fresh build? new rings, new pistons, ect...? whats the setup consist of?
