there is a special tool. Its a big open 5 or 6 point thats on the outside? that you can put a 17MM socket through the center so you hold the crank with the tool so it doesnt spin and loosen the 17MM crank pulley bolt. Super simple. Just google or ask around for a crank pulley holder.

its a hexagon type tool that goes inside the crank pulley itself to hold the engine from turning over. if you cant find one a large chain wrench will do the trick as well but can damage the belt grooves on the crank pulley

Or you can do as I do and most of them have came off just by putting a 1/2" drive breaker bar on it with the 3/4" or 19mm socket and smack the hell out of it with a hammer, usually breaks them loose. Impact guns work well too.

Impact guns shock the crank and that's what a lot of people use. And I would like to add, the harshness of the combustion process probably puts more stress on it.

Here are a few types:

Amazon.com: Honda Harmonic Damper Crank Shaft Pulley Holder Tool: Home Improvement

Amazon.com: Powerbuilt 648796 Honda Crankcase Pulley Removal Tool: Home Improvement

I have one of the latter... works great. There's a reason 130 reviewers have given it 4½ stars out of 5.

Bolt the head back on w/ the timing belt. Tighten the belt. Stick something between the the cam gears (wraped in something that wont damange your head), so that the belt does not move. Remove the bolt w/ a breaker bar. This wil need 2 people. It is ghetto, and not recommended, but will work with limited tools.

if you don't have the head but you do have the flywheel still on there. bolt on the flywheel. put a torque wrench on the crank pulley nut and put a breaker bar on the flywheel bolt.you need 2 people for this tho. one person holds the breaker bar and another unbolts the nut with the torque wrench. I've personally done it like this a bunch of times.
