Hey guys aight check it, I keep getting a check engine light and when we put it on the computer, it says that o2 sensor in location 1 is not operating correctly. Now I never had this problem until i installed my free flow cat and when they welded on my o2 sensor again, they actually put it right before the o2 sensor. There is also an o2 sensor right at the tip of the exhaust manifold(b16a2). Is this something i should try to work with or is this a problem that cannot be resolved? Thanks

 

should be the o2 sensor on the exhaust manifold, might need a new one.

 

1. O2 sensors must be at a certain distance and with spec resistance to function correctly
2. If the secondary O2 is throwing a code it can be resolved
3. If it is the primary, replace it after comparing each wires resistance against spec and determining if it is bad.
4. Which O2 did they weld, that part is not to clear, and more specifically where did they weld it?
5. It is usual to throw the secondary O2 sensor code after replacing the cat, but can be bypassed.

 

Sup dude. The code said LOC#1. The o2 sensor the used to go on the catalytic converter is the one that was moved. Right now the o2 sensor sits right before the catalytic converter. I think that before, it went right into the stock one, but since i put the free flow in, they welded the o2 sensor right before the cat. Honestly i dont know why im throwing a code. I have an extra sensor so i was thinking about switching it out to see if that was the problem. Ill tell you this, we reset the engine code, and it will throw the check engine light every 30-35 miles. Everytime i throw the code i reset the mileage just to see if there was any kind of pattern.
