well i have a 97 4 dooor civic which i picked up 2 motnhs ago i love it a/c blows has tints chill car but its starting to have a coupe minor promblems

1.the key doesnt want to come out unless i diconnect the battery

2.the brake lights wont turn off unless i disconncet the battery

3.and the fuel guage thing is always on full

can anybody please tell me whats wrong with my car ???

1- mess around with your shifter, you may have to take it apart see if anything is loose or missing.
2- look below where your brake pedal is, when the brake pedal is released theres a switch on it which connects to a plastic grommet plug thats gets crystalize over time and breaks up, so if theres nothing there the switch goes through the hole instead of on the plastic plug which cause your brake light to stay on, so either get a 10mm one inch bolt and permanently fix it or you can buy the part(brake light switch grommet)for like under $5.
2- take out your cluster n mess around with it, prob bad cluster or you fuel floater is stuck
