Default Went to check oil level... THERE WAS NONE!!

Before leaving work today, needed to add some fluid for the clutch (small leak in rubber line), went to go check the engine oil at the same time just to be sure.

I pull the dipstick and there is NOTHING on it . Put in a quart of oil and checked again, it just barly showed on the dipstick. I walked to the gas station across the street and got 2 more quarts. A total of 2.25 quarts and it was where it should be on the dipstick.

WTF???

I usualy check the level every 2-3 weeks to make sure everything is cool. Never had any problems whenever I checked it 2 weeks ago. The car doesn't burn oil, and the only oil leak is a small one by the Vtec solenoid, very small probably valve cover. There is never any oil puddles when I leave the parking lot. I see no leaks.

What happend here? I have no idea how long its been this low, and I have been driving it a little harsh last few days. Hope I didn't ruin my bearings .

There has been a some noise from around the motor for a while now, but sounds like more from the clutch (which I need a new one anyways). Whenever I push the clutch in most the noise goes away untill I release.

Soooo what should I do... anything I should check? This is very odd.

Your burning oil, if you have no leaks your burning it, it can't just disappear.

Just doesn't make sense. There is no smoke at all, under idle, full thottle. I have rode behind the car while my buddy drove, there was nothing.

I had the oil changed at Honda with honda fluids, checked it 2-3 weeks later, same level everything looked good., checked it again another 2-3 weeks and there was none.

My POS blazer burned about 1 quart every month, and you could clearly see blue smoke at start up and such.

What I was thinking too... thanks

Would that cause vibrations in the clutch?

It rides on that bearing when you press the pedal in. So no.

Does the car still have a cat converter on it? If so that is why you don't really see any smoke but yet it still burns oil.

Well now that I know the oil is going somewhere I will figure out where, but what I want to know is how can I tell if any damage has been done?

If your car is running good, its probably fine. Keep adding oil when necessary, think about changing your valve seals and fix your oil leaks.

I would check your oil level every fill up

Man thats insane. The thing never even burned oil the first 2-3 weeks. Guess I will be driving around with a few bottles of oil in my trunk .

I should be able to change out the valve seals if I put each cylinder at TDC and fill it with compressed air right? No need to take the head off? Would that mean the valve guides are shot too?

I have this laying around, I guess I gotta do something with it now....

And yes Custom240SX...thats your old intake you gave me
