with the pry bar wedged between the flywheel teeth the the tranny and a big enough cheater bar it will come off and i have done this with engine in the car

get a chain wrench at AZ and hold the pulley.. I had to do that on 2 Toyota Pickups for the crank bolt

i put a socket on the pulley, put a big breaker bar on the end so it's wedged against the ground, turn motor over, success. Worked flawlessly

and by breaker bar, I mean jack handle
