Yes you have to raise rpms to get moving a little more with a lightweight flywheel but it doesn't cause the chattering unless it is surfaced unevenly. I use XTD 12lb flywheels and they work great...a bit lighter than stock (stock LS one weighed in at 19lbs) but it isn't as light as my fidanza (7.5lbs) which was kind of a bitch to drive. My car takes off nice and smooth.

He is looking for an OE type pressure plate and disc...Exedy would be the best choice and use a stock or XTD flywheel...no lighter than 12lbs though or it will make daily driving a little crappy even if you get used to it. If you'd like, you can meet me up and I'll let you drive my teg and you can tell me how you like that setup. Just shoot my a text, you have my number still.

Yeah bro I got your number still, but if I stop by I will let you drive the Si instead, that way you can pin point the problem

I had a offer for a OE Exedy clutch BNIB if i remember right with a throw out bearing for $125 or something like that, really considering it. Hopefully it will be a good clutch, and will transfer over nicely to my ls/v once complete. I gotta wait till next pay check though, I hate bills .

I really wannt know if it has a light flywheel, this whole time I was thinkin it was the torqueless B16, when really it could be the flywheel/clutch the reason for high rpms to get going.

Either way I am sure you will be able to tell when when make a trip down there again.

I never had a problem with my exedy 9lb flywheel in my type R motor. You just have to drive it a completely different way, as stated before. That's why I never let amateurs drive my car.

Put it this way, I've taught a few girls who NEVER drove stick before how to drive with my civic (fidanza 7.5lb flywheel) and my teg (12lb flywheel) and none had any problems learning it. Like Honkey said, you just have to get used to it. I do however like my 12lb one a bit more than the 7.5lb one but will not go back to stock ever.

I have adapted to it, haven't stalled the car in well over a week lol. Just cause it's got to be drivin a different way doesn't mean it's better for driving a lot daily.

Idk, I'll let custom240sx take it around the block a few times and he can say what it's like.
