here is my rusted hood i had done about a year ago when it was the big fad on honda-tech... its really not that hard to do.. i stripped mine and pour hydrogen peroxide all over it and let it sit while re-appling it every so often..



i painted the underside of the hood GOLD...

muratic acid is available at any pool supply store for about $5 a gallon, and will flash rust the SHIT out of bare metal within a couple of minutes. It also neutralizes with water, so pour the acid on, wait a few minutes, rinse with hose, and you're done.
Just surface rust...

we use a acid for cleaning coil and other parts at my job. it will def give it flash rust QUICK.
