my boy has a hood so im keeping mine...

gonna do what google says

- steel wool and soap
- hot water
- fertilizer
- salt

put on hood and WAIT! lol

 

First hood looks to have been stripped to bare metal and hit with a hose a few times due to the UN-uniform pattern as it appears as surface rust...

Second pic looks like bronze paint sprayed in a fashion to look rusted.

They do paint jobs to "look rusted"... But since when did this become a trend? Rat rods yes I understand but not on imports...

And clearcoat over rust will do nothing, Just like when you paint over it... The rust is a electro-chemical reaction that happens with the transfer of electrons from iron to oxygen and the only way to control it is to kill it.

Not alot of people have it. Most VW's and rat rods yes...

Example:

 

Bleach will rust bare metal in a matter of hours.

Also dont put the damn hood on your car while its rusting..the damn thing will run off onto your bumper and stain. Saw a tiburon like that and lol'ed hard.

 

Strip off the paint then on a hot day.. spray it with water and salt! fastest way! my friend has done this and after 2 hours the whole thing rusted up.

 

wtf why would somebody do there whole damn car RUST????
