Exclamation Need to know book time

Need to find out what book time to R&R a engine from a 1990 honda accord?

Swaping engines from an 89 to a 90 and need to know good price for labor.

well the 89 and 90 use different engines....so i dont know how you will get book time for that....and anyone who pays book time is crazy...good luck either way...try all data if you need book time for either vehicle.

I would charge 13 hours all together and if they dont want to pay book time send them down the road . i dont know why someone paying book time is crazy , it is the industry standard , only someone who has no idea how the mechanic business works would say that

Transferring parts is alot more. It was half of my damn swap time.

dealers and really well established shops charge book time because they can....with all the shops out there competing for work being a smaller shop and charging book times and close to what they charge per hour will fail...i would rather pay 90 bucks an hour to a dealer than say 60 to some side shop...i wont do either cuz i do my own work and i work for a dealership so i know....in this economy people dont wanna spend that kinda money at some smaller place that probably wont be able to make things right if something goes wrong.

He wanted to know book TIME, not shop rate.. he can change the rate to whatever.
