Default How to change brake Switch on 96 Accord?

I see the brake switch by getting down in the floor panel area and looking right up at it. But I'm not sure how it comes out? I see that it has the adjust nuts on it but they fasten it to the bracket. I dont know how to get the bracket off.. or if the switch some how slides through it once you take the adjuster bolts off?

I'd really appreciate the help or a quick write up / link to explain how its done.

First thing why do you need to replace it? If the lights are staying on is most likely the rubber grommet came off the pedal and the switch stays on. To take it out you loosen the nut, unplug the sensor, then unscrew it. Is as easy as that.

Have to use shift lock manual key way on the shifter column to get it out of park.

No brake lights come on.

No click from the shift lock solenoid sound coming form the shifter when I press the brake when in park.

yeah its good. I know its the switch for sure. It stopped working periodically over the last year.. finally gave out. A fuse would have killed it completely. Plus i checked it..

so once i unscrew the nuts off the bracket and un plug it it pulls right out? i dont need to take off the metal bracket it is attached to?

Dale man... thanks for the offer. I actually got off my ass and fixed it this morning.. I just wanted to work on the Camaro and the Jet ski so I forced myself to go over and fixt the honda.
Just like the man said it was pretty straight forward job but deceiving the way it sits in there.. Took a few minutes of looking at it and playing with it..

Hey I sent you the 58mm vs 52mm dyno results to your new bright house email. Let me know if you got it...
