Default Engine Swapping Easy!?

Just how easy is it to install a engine into a 92-95 civic.? On a scale of 1-4.
4 being hardest. Is this a 1 or 2 man job? I was looking at all my hoses that are cut from the longblock that i ordered , are those all going to be replaced with the ones in my car now? How easy is it to hook up the wirring harness?
It looks pretty easy, what all do i have to do? I read a article a while back in a SPC magazine and it said that motor swaping for this year car was" so easy you might even have fun." Is this true.

I hope you have a Healm manual otherwise I wouldn't even bother trying it.

Who has acuttaly has done this? I was looking at my wires and mounts and were the shiftlinkage goes in place,it isnt looking to hard at all. Iam not trying to save money or be cheap I want to learn this myself but iam just wondering what all Iam needed to know to install this engine. My axles look easy to install or course Iive removed the rear suspesion before to install my disk brakes. So I doubt the front would be that much more difficult to do. I am still going to have either JDMclub install it or have LHT do this install but wont be till the end of the year cause i want alot done before i drop this thing in.

It all depends on the engine you plan to put in. If it is a stock engine, it isn;t hard at all. A B series honda engine is easy as well, H series is a tougher fit, but a 350 V8 might be alittle rough.

Its a B-series. The wirring harness on the new motor iam putting in looks like the same that in my cx stock right now? Is there any diff. in the two?

Yeah, highly recommended that you not go it alone seeing as how you have little to no idea what you're doing. I wouldn't try it either, I'd just take it to John and Taylor.

Yeah i know you guys are right ,its just that it looks so easy and i want to learn this but i cant afford not to have my car down for more then a day. I am taking it to JDMclub or LHT. I was going to call up letsrollagn(Patrick) to see if we could do this thing toghter , i would still pay him 700 to install i just would like to know this stuff. I need to get a hoist so i can get this thing on my engine stand. Does anyone wnat to come over with theirs and help me get this thing on their i would pay them for there trouble hows 50 sound
Iam in clearwater so if anyone that is knowlegable about this stuff come and bring your hoist and help me get this on the stand so that i can work on it. Iam wantting to put on a mugen oil pan ,Skunk2 cams, and Apexi headder (I think not sure either to go with them or Dc sports or comptech.) I think iam going to go ahead and get cam gears, and Thottle body too cause mines sticky unless it just cause its old and needs to be cleaned. I went to press the throttle cable down and it wasnt opening so i had to use a hammer to get it to unstick is that normal when a engine has been sitting? blah balh though you would be curious to hear what my plans are for my SiR2. heh! Thanks for listening heh!

I have done two of them. and personally I wouldn't pay anyone to do it for me. If you're putting a b-series into a 92-95 civic, I have done it in 4 hours.. that's my fastest time so far. But the bitchie thing is when you come across a bad bolt.. it's might also be a headache.
