Default Exhaust Questions ???

i have a eg hatch with a b series motor, is not stock just bold on, im trying to figure out whats the best way to set up n exhaust system for it. a couple things in mind tho

1st i have the hole control arm set up wit asr brace, so im trying for it to stay visible.

2nd i dont want to loose power i wanna gain more power if possible

3rd it cant be to loud, is not a daily driver but i also dont wanna get pull over for the noice

4th i was told just to put straight pipe 2 1/2 with 2 resignators with no muffler just like a dummy pipe. but im not to sure of that. it might be to loud but not to sure!!!

if anyone can give me a tip or give an advice i will appreciated
THANKS! i know it might be a stupid question but is something i would like to figure out as soon as possible

THANKS AGAIN...

Dont do the 2 res with no muffler you will hate life !

I always reccomend to our customers to look at their current and future power goals when doing an exhaust. After making that power goal you can then move forward on your project.

If you plan on boosting 250+whp, id suggest custom tig welded 3" exhaust. If staying NA with basic bolt-ons, 2.5" will be fine.

Do it once, do it right.

technically running an equal length manifold/header w/anti reversion, that runs to a tube with minimal bends and is TIG welded, directly out the front fender/bumper is the most efficient.

or you can do what Nyce1s does and run the exhaust pipe and dump tube directly out the hood. and they're running 8's so they're doing something right

but no seriously a quiet exhaust isn't efficient. you'll have to find a balance between noise and free flowing capabilities.

no not stupid loud, but fun loud!

the most quiet and free flowing setup is to run a 2.5-3" from the header (w/ a 2.5-3" collector) to a glass pack or straight pipe, to an angled perferrated core muffler. angled because you want minimal bends.

or you can run a somewhat stock setup and put an e-cutout in right after the down pipe so you can run with it open on the track.
