Alot of people go on the he said she said shit and I want to know how many people follow directions and install the gasket the way its supposed to. No one would actually want to go back and retorque head bolts so I would like to know how many people actually do it. Figure the more expensive gasket should just work straight up like OEM and GE. A copper gasket can be compressed and takes shape easier. I figure if both my head and block are freshly surfaced and I follow the directions my Cometic 3mm gasket will work. Ill keep you guys posted.

This is what is said that needs to be done.

1. Copper Spray it
2. Install properly
3. Torque the head bolts to specified torque
4. Let car run at operating temp for a while go back
5. Check and retorque head bolts after running at operating temp

Ok the thick gasket sucks ass I see oil seaping down my block re checked torque and they're still at spec 100% sure it was installed correctly. I believe it would have sealed with an N/A engine but the boost is definetly kicking its ass. Golden Eagle already on the way I cant believe I wasted my damn money like that. 3mm custom Cometic gaskets are shit no one buy them.

I'm running a Cometic 3mm (.078") on my car at over 30psi of boost, and I havent had any issues with it, other than it makes the compression dumb low...

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
